So we have a location locked down for the bachelor party. I still have
to secure some quality entertainment, but I still have a little over a
month so I'm not stressing out too much. Book these girls too far in
advance and you run the risk of losing them to retirement due to jail
time, angry boyfriends, or rehab.
I have a little free time on my hands while the fam visits Houston. I've
caught up on quite a bit of much needed sleep in the last couple of days
and came to the realization that theres no amount of sleep that can take
the place of coming home to my wife and kids. I'll take exhaustion over
loneliness anyday. Not that I'm really lonely. I know I'll see them all
soon so I'm really just trying to get used to the novelty of the
lifestyle adjustment. Work is pretty busy right now and theres a few
things I'd like to get done around the house while I have the free time
so I definitely can put this to good use. Its just strangely quiet. My
oldest has only just turned two, yet I cant remember what it was like to
just come home from work and sit down in front of the TV.
That reminds me, M is 2 now! I have to say I was pretty impressed with
the turnout for his birthday party. So many friends and relatives came.
I cant believe how many other little kids were there. It was like a
circus. But in a good way.
I got pretty good marks on my mid-year review. Hopefully this will mean
some kind of pay increase for next year. I guess its important that I
keep this up for the final review in December. Ah, workin for the man...
K... thats about it for now. Peaceindahood.
